Why personal coaching?
Top talented sports and business people employ coaches to bring out their best. Sometimes, an achievement we're capable of eludes us. Coaching is about having someone on your side. Someone with an outside perspective to bounce ideas off, to get the encouragement and support that you need to ask more of yourself and to accomplish what you really, want more easily. And we are talking about what you want—not what you should want or somebody else thinks you should want. Coaching helps you to focus, clarify and take action. It is an adult-to-adult relationship in which I will support you in being responsible for your own life choices. This includes supporting you in disregarding any of my suggestions or requests if you choose to do so.

How we help you succeed
Ruuvand coaching employs curiosity and listening, yours and ours, as core tools to unlock insights, solutions and challenges. This is because Who you are is the key to it all. It is a true partnership where you have the larger stake and my full commitment is to your success.
We will meet over the phone, Skype or face-to-face 3 times a month, to maintain your momentum towards the future you really want. In-between meetings, your coach will be available for short email check-ins and consultations.

Case study: Student coaching
My client, the Dean of a Law School in London intends to add “social capital” that his top students can take into their profession for success, in addition to the academic value being provided by the faculty. 2 years ago, we agreed to run a coaching programme for these top students only, focussed on setting academic and professional goals. The outcome in the 2 years of the programme, has been better academic results, additional positive behaviours, feelings and relationships. These outcomes have resulted in the university looking to widen participation in the programme.
Most of the students fed back that the coaching support was enough of a differentiating factor to consider studying at the School.
On the back of programme’s successes, we have been commissioned to run the programme for a third year with the intention of widening it to other Schools.
